Cade Tezo

Cade "Taurus" Tezo is an Iktotchi Pilot and Mechanic. He was a Flight Leader, Executive Officer and Commander of Firebird Squadron, as well as the last Executive Officer of Sigma Squadron before the deactivation of the squadron. He currently holds the rank of Major and the rank of Marauder in the Dark Brotherhood. At the moment he is in reserve, but his whereabouts are not known. His last known position can be attributed to the frequency of Clan Scholae Palatinae.

History

Heritage

Cade Tezo was born 0 BBY in the capital of Iktotch, Ankhela, to his coruscanti mother Lyrse and his iktotchi father Ranhu Tezo. He has an older half-brother from his mother's first marriage, Tret, who was a smuggler and later a fighter pilot.
His mother was a communications officer for the galactic empire. Her duties were to uphold communication with the blockade forces stationed in the orbit of Iktotch. His father was a trader, who worked together with the imperials to provide food and luxury goods for the outpost garrison. His parents met on one of this supply trades and fell in love, with Lyrse getting pregnant shortly after.

Early Life

Growing up was very difficult for Tezo. As an iktochi with a human mother, most children ignored or taunted him for his heritage and being the son of an imperial officer was officially accepted, but behind locked door a cardinal sin. As he was shunned by other kids, he often played alone in a near technic junkyard, where he learned to build various things from spare parts like toys, scanners and later more or less functionable droids.
Since he could walk, he helped is father making deliveries to support the imperial blockade force, through that he learned a lot of things about his homeplanet, his people and his culture, without ever visiting an iktotchese School and with additional help from his mother, he learned quickly how to write and to read despite being only four years old.

However at the age of five Tezo lost his mother to the Forces of the New Republic that broke through the remaining imperial blockade, coerced them to flee and destroyed the outpost in Ankhela. His mother died in the crossfire while trying to protect her family. His father and brother fled with Tezo in their YZ-775 medium transport ship, while repelling several starfighters and barley made it out alive.

Early Adulthood

Following their escape of Ankehela the Tezo family buildt up a small smuggle-operation hauling around cargo for several pirate-groups and smaller drug lords, using the YZ-775, now named "Azure Milk", as their home and mobile base of operation.
Growing up between the chaos of sumggeling in New Republic trading lines always between danger and death, was hard, but Cade quickly accustomed to his new living conditions. He picked up various skills like his ability to repair nearly anything or his famous flying skills he would later use himself to help his family. He also picked up some habits, that would make his life more difficult. Like his inability to form lasting bonds and truly feeling "home", as well as his problems with growing accustomed to anything that is not flying in space.

Becoming a Mercenary

After five years his brother signed up to help the First Order as a fighter pilot and left the family business behind him. Cade stayed to help his father until he decided that being a smuggler is not his life's dream and joined an Imperial remnant . He collected first battle experiences as well as meeting members of the seasoned Zealot & Orange Squadrons, two organizations he quickly joined and fought for. Through his connections inside Zealot, he met Honsou, a founding member, who acknowledged his skill and endorsed him to join the TC.

Career

Tie Corps

Firebird Squadron

Cade Tezo joined the TIE Corps in June 29 ABY under his alias "Taurus", getting first into some troubles cause of his past in different mercenary subgroups. He then successfully attended IWATS, graduated with speed and joined Firebird Squadron under GN Stryker.
He quickly made a name for himself, flying many Legions of Combat, as well as some Legions of Skirmish. He always tried to help his squadron and TC comrades to improve themselves, showing them tricks how to evade, as well as some advanced flying techniques. He became Flight Leader of Flight 2, as well as later on Squadron Executive Officer.

After his mentor Stryker left the squadron for Raven Squadron, Cade took the position 1-1 of Firebird, thus accepting the responsibilities as CMDR. Under his leadership he transformed the former Infiltration squadron into a Reconnaissance squadron for the entire fleet and led his squadron against the Ishtari. After the Battle of Tusorix he decided to step down and let his XO Triji Boliv take the reigns. His last act and the allegedly best thing he did as a CMDR (his own words), was to get the long serving Flight Leader and IW-Veteran TI-40026 a Gold Star for his work in forming and influencing the squadron.

After he stepped down, Tezo stayed with Firebird as a Flight Leader, before transferring over to Sigma Squadron to take once more the role of XO. When the ISDII Relentless was added to the fleet, his CMDR Mathew Steel decided to reopen Hammer Squadron, Cade decided to finally transfer to the Reserves.

Dark Brotherhood

Not much is known about his time in the Dark Brotherhood. He initially joined, but realized quickly that his potential was not fully realized in the Halls of the Brotherhood and left shortly after his advancement to Acolyte. When he joined again, he had changed internally, his focus and mastery of the force was far more progressed than his mere rank could tell. He never showed anyone his full potential, only hinted it. The newly appointed Consul Honsou, gave him the lead over Battleteam Sentinel, as well as the rank Marauder, because he didn't know how else to treat the mysterious Iktotchi. Although he is the current Leader, he is rarely with his Battleteam. He likes to stay in the dark of the universe, searching for old sith artifacts and exploring his connection to the force.
