Renegade (ship)

The MC-90-class Calamari Crusier Renegade is a ship of the Emperor's Hammer TIE Corps, as part of the Infiltrator Wing unit. It is currently assigned to Battlegroup III, and is home to Wing XXII.

History and Lineage

On April 17, 2023, as part of the TIE Corps expansion effort at the time, the MC-90 Renegade was re-commissioned and assigned to Battlegroup III. All Infiltrator Wing operations were transferred to the Renegade, including the active Infiltrator Wing squadrons previously assigned to Wing X and the Challenge: Raven Squadron, Eagle Squadron, and Firebird Squadron).

The MC-90 Renegade was named in honor of Pappy "Renegade" Rene, the founder of the Infiltrator Wing. During the 2023 TIE Corps expansion effort, there was debate among existing and reservist members over which Infiltrator Wing ship should be re-commissioned: the Fear or the Warspite. The Renegade was selected as a neutral choice, and in honor of the founder and origins of the Infiltrator Wing organization.

At present, the Renegade is under the direct command of the Battlegroup Commander of Battlegroup III.

The MC-90 Renegade is an MC-90 class Calamari Cruiser, and as such is fully equipped with up to six full squadrons of twelve starfighters each. Currently, there are two active starfighter squadrons assigned to the ship:
