Introduction: Dar'Telis System

The Dar'Telis System is home to one known habitable planet, Dar'Telis I, according to the official Imperial Survey Corps Holonet Database. However, to the dwellers of the Minos Cluster, this system is simply referred to as "Tyrranus"...A dreaded place, the Dar'Telis System is avoided by all but the crazed or the foolhardy. However, it is rumored that some of the lesser known and more desperate smugglers and independent light freighters have made not only successful, but remarkably profitable runs to the Dar'Telis System. Apparently, the Tyrranians are hungry for exotic metals and modern technologies. The Tyrranians were a relatively introverted species until the arrival of the Empire over 72 years ago. A word of caution: most who enter the Dar'Telis System tend not to return.

Prior to contact with the known galactic starfaring races (i.e. the Empire), the Tyrranians had developed their culture in isolation. They had developed a simple hierarchical government and a culture based on mechanized technologies. It should be noted that is common for members of this species to undergo voluntary replacement of their body parts with mechanically augmented prostheses. Indeed, their hunger for new and improved technologies has led them to take control of their entire system and destroy just about all who enter. To date, the Imperial Survey Corps has only had the opportunity to conduct long range sensor sweeps of the Dar'Telis System. Closer inspections have been, to date, unwarranted and unwise. One Tyrannian is known to live outside the Dar'Telis System and even served in the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet: Admiral Dactyl, former Commander of the EH Infiltrator Wing. Although Dactyl was taken from this System at a very young age, he apparently has undergone some augmentation surgery. He may provide more useful information as time and opportunity allow.

Although it is known that the Tyrranians possess only ships up to Dreadnaught and Frigate class in their fleet, they have also reportedly purchased, cajoled, borrowed or stolen a collection of several hundred Corporate, Imperial and Rebel fighters, ships and equipment. Consequently, resistance to Imperial or New Republic rule in this system may pose a significant risk.
