Line of succession
In the event that both the Fleet Commander and Executive Officer are unable to fulfill their duties, the Subgroup Commanders will have direct control of their subgroups within the oversight of the Board of Trustees, until such time that the Board of Trustees may gather for an emergency session to select a new Fleet Commander. Individual Command Staff members and Subgroup Commanders will report the status of any projects to the Board of Trustees until a new Fleet Commander is appointed.

Fleet Commander
Main article: Fleet Commander
The Fleet Commander (FC) is the Club Manager and overall leader of the Emperor’s Hammer Strike Fleet. The Fleet Commander is the one and only official liaison to the main Emperor's Hammer body and its Board of Trustees. The Fleet Commander appoints Command Staff Officers and Subgroup Commanders (SGCOMs). In addition, the Fleet Commander's decision on any matter in The Emperor’s Hammer is final. It should be stressed, however, that the Fleet Commander will endeavor to obtain all the facts from all parties involved (regardless of rank or status in the EH) prior to making final decisions or arbitration. The Fleet Commander is the only officer who may award the Medal of Honor and rank promotions of Fleet Admiral and above. All overall Fleet development ideas must be approved by the Fleet Commander prior to release to the rest of the Fleet.
Executive Officer
Main article: Executive Officer
The Executive Officer (XO) contributes to the development and management of the Emperor's Hammer, and is in line for command should anything unexpected happen to the Fleet Commander. The Executive officer has supervisory capacities over all the EH subgroups in that Subgroup Commanders report directly to the Executive Officer and the Fleet Commander. The Executive Officer edits and publishes the EH newsletters, or appoints a member to accomplish this duty. The Executive Officer also enjoys the special privilege of being able to adopt various "secret" projects on their own initiative.
Internet Officer
Main article: Internet Officer
The Internet Officer (IO) is responsible for the development, maintenance, and improvement of Emperor's Hammer web sites, databases, and digital assets. The Internet Officer acts as the lead administrator for the club’s Internet-facing information assets. The Internet Officer exercises oversight of club Internet activity and coordinates with other Command Staff positions, including the Security Officer, for areas of overlapping responsibility.
Communications Officer
Main article: Communications Officer
The Communications Officer (COMM) is primarily responsible for overseeing the online conduct of Emperor's Hammer members and administering Emperor's Hammer communication platforms (e.g., Discord servers). They directly respond to members' complaints and concerns regarding member conduct on communication platforms. They strive as a mediator to resolve potential conflicts at the lowest level before formal sanctions are required. When warranted, they are responsible for conducting investigations of member conduct, using the Bylaws, Articles of War, and Code of Conduct as the principal sources of regulatory guidance. They coordinate with relevant Command Staff members, such as the Tactical Officer and Training Officer, to resolve incidents concerning allegations of member violation of cheating policies. When warranted, they sanction members for inappropriate conduct in accordance with the Code of Conduct, or refer more serious incidents to the Executive Officer and/or Fleet Commander for formal charges and final adjudication.
Logistics Officer
The Logistics Officer (LO) leads efforts to incorporate Star Wars canon into the Emperor’s Hammer timeline, and acts as the chief archivist of Emperor’s Hammer materials. The Logistics Officer maintains the Encyclopaedia Imperia wiki as a primary repository of official materials and member-generated content not otherwise captured in official databases. The Logistics Officer also oversees maintenance and updates to the official Order of Battle, System Manual, & Fleet Manual, and validates updates to other official fleet manuals and policy documents. The Logistics Officer coordinates closely with other Command Staff officers and Subgroup Commanders in the discharge of their duties.
Training Officer
Main article: Training Officer
The Training Officer (TO) oversees both the day-to-day management of the Imperial University (IU) (grading courses, submitting feedback, and ensuring materials are correct) as well as the long-term development of the Imperial University (developing new courses, reviewing and deprecating outdated courses). The Training Officer coordinates closely with other Command Staff members, including the Internet Officer for maintenance of the Imperial University system, and the Logistics Officer for integration of course content within the Emperor’s Hammer storyline and canon.
Tactical Officer
Main article: Tactical Officer
The Tactical Officer evaluates ALL new missions and Battles. The Tactical Officer also oversees the Fleet Commander's Honor Guard (FCHG) and maintains the Battle Board.
Science Officer
Main article: Science Officer
The Science Officer (SCO) is responsible for maintaining the Emperor's Hammer Patch Archive and Fleet Manual, providing evaluation, correction and final approval of all new game patches. All new EH fighter/transport/capital ship designs must first be approved by the SCO prior to review and posting in the Newsletters. The Science Officer also is responsible for being current and knowledgeable on upcoming gaming technologies and mission creators/editors to be released for the Star Wars genre.
Reconnaissance Officer
Main article: Reconnaissance Officer
The Reconnaissance Officer (RO) serves as the focal point for the Emperor's Hammer external-facing operations and leads the Emperor's Hammer outreach activities in order to promote and advance the club. This includes overseeing the Emperor's Hammer official social media accounts, developing ways to recruit new members, forming relations with other groups, and keeping the membership of the Emperor's Hammer informed of upcoming Star Wars books, games, and events that members may want to take part in. The Reconnaissance Officer coordinates closely with other Command Staff officers and Subgroup Commanders in order to synchronize efforts with internal club activities.
Command Attache
Main article: Command Attache
The Command Attache is a full-time support position within a Command Staff office. Each Command Staff member who leads a command office is authorized to appoint one Command Attache to aid them in the execution of the responsibilities of the respective office. The position has the equivalent command authority to that of any named support position, but only within their Command Staff officer's respective duties. This level of authority is invested in the Command Attache so that they will be able to effectively carry out the orders of the Command Staff officer on almost every level. The specific duties given to a Command Attache are subject to the needs of the individual Command Staff officer, and may change as those needs change. The Command Attache is to be regarded as the personal assistant to the Command Staff officer, and speaks with their authority under the Command Staff officer's direction.
Assistants
Main article: Command Attache
Command Assistants are secondary helpers to Command Staff officers. They are generally employed to assist in the implementation of large projects, or in more mundane tasks in order to free up the time of the Command Staff officer for more pressing tasks and matters. Due to their secondary nature, the position is part-time, thus allowing members to retain their other positions upon appointment. Command Staff officers may have up to two assistants unless otherwise authorized for specific purposes by the Executive Officer or Fleet Commander.
