"Rage, rage against the dying of the light"

General Master is currently Squadron Commander in Firebird Squadron, onboard the MC80b Redemption. A long serving member of the EH, over the years Master has had the honor as serving within many roles in the EH.

Serving the majority of his time in Wing X on the ISD-II Challenge, Master has served in many, many roles over the years such as Wing Commander of Wing X, Squadron Commander of Tempest Squadron, Tornado Squadron & Firebird Squadron as well as a Flight Member within Typhoon Squadron and Inferno Squadron for various campaigns.

From his early days on the Challenge, Master has dedicated his time to the Tactical Office. This has allowed him to be bestowed the role of Tactical Officer and eventually being promoted to Fleet Admiral.

Prior to this great honor, he was Command Attache, serving under High Admiral Frodo March as well as holding minor roles as TCC:XWA, TCS and TACA under TAC's such as Fleet Admiral Marcin Szydlowski & High Admiral Striker

Not limited completely to Wing X within his career, Master has also served on the ISD-II Hammer as Squadron Commander of Gamma Squadron and ISD-II Warrior within Sin Squadron as a Flight Member.

Imperial Career[edit]

Most of Master's youth remains shrouded in mystery, hidden from the public eye. Whether this is due to youthful indiscretions or something far less exciting, no one knows.

Master joined the Empire as a pilot shortly after the Battle of Yavin. His exceptional skills quickly propelled him through the ranks, catching the attention of many high-ranking officials, including Grand Admiral Thrawn, before his mission to the Unknown Regions. Rumors abound that Master received Force training from Darth Vader and perhaps even the Emperor himself, but he has never confirmed or denied these whispers, leaving their truth uncertain.

Intruder Wing Career[edit]

After the Empire was defeated at Endor, Master vanished from sight for several years. Speculation ranges from days of piracy to joining the fledgling New Republic or even accompanying Grand Admiral Thrawn on his mission. Yet, again, with no confirmed answers, the truth remains elusive.

What is known however, is that some time after Endor, Master reappeared within the Intruder Wing Strike Fleet. Showcasing his flying ability within Lightning and Dream Squadron's he eventually was promoted to the rank of General and Strategy Officer. When the Intruder Wing was ultimately decimated by its enemies and remaining forces scattered in the wind, Master found his way into the legendary Emperor's Hammer.

TIE Corps Career[edit]

Brought into the fold by Locke Setzer, he joined Tempest Squadron within Flight Three and began his EH journey.

Finding a new home on the ISD Challenge , he was eventually promoted to Tornado Squadron Commander and then eventually onto Wing Commander. When drinking in the cantina and in his company be wary about bringing up these memories as you will never hear the end of "the good old days".

Tactical Officer Career[edit]

Master has also served the TAC Office diligently within his career, serving as Command Attaché to TAC-HA Frodo March before being promoted to the role of TAC and eventually earning the rank of Fleet Admiral.

Even now he continues to serve the Office dutifully as a TACA , assisting where-ever needed.

Return to Duty[edit]

Gamma & Sin Squadron[edit]

When the universe called, Master listened. He stepped back into the dark for a time, never far, never gone, simply watching the currents shift around the EH.

When he returned, the roster he knew had changed. The Challenge herself was deep in retrofit, sealed away in yards and unavailable to serve aboard.

So Master slipped into the line elsewhere: first as a steady FM within Gamma, then rising to CMDR, and later taking up a berth in Sin. Even away from his home ship, he moved with the same gravity, an officer who never truly leaves the Challenge’s orbit.

ISD Challenge[edit]

Inferno Squadron[edit]

Between those chapters lay a brief detour into Inferno Squadron—seven months as a frontline FM, long enough to fly one campaign and accidentally acquire a reputation for “borrowing” tech. Master claimed he was only building a new targeting suite; Inferno’s tech crews claimed he was trying to smuggle half the workshop back to the Vornskr.

Either way, he flew hard, kept his edge sharp, and moved on before anyone could finish the paperwork.

Firebird Squadron[edit]

After another brief return to the darkness, it was the voice of the infamous GN Triji Boliv that cut through the void. He had taken command of Firebird Squadron and needed old hands - pilots who understood the Challenge’s pulse. Alongside the returning Locke Setzer and Prost Varsis, Master answered the call, helping Firebird rise from the ashes left by its previous CMDR.

Typhoon Squadron[edit]

But the Challenge’s pull is never quiet for long. When Boliv was granted the opportunity to reopen Typhoon Squadron, Master was among the first to sign on. Typhoon re‑emerged as a powerhouse, crushing all who opposed it and reclaiming its legacy as the ship’s elite VIP Escort unit.

Firebird Squadron CMDR[edit]

Duty, however, is relentless. Firebird once again required a CMDR, and the call went out. Committed to the IW and to Firebird’s resurgence, Master stepped forward and took the mantle. He has served with steady hands and unwavering intent ever since.

INTEL Career[edit]

There was also the matter of Master’s classified tenure within INTEL, several months sealed behind clearance walls and redacted reports.

Officially, he was “attached for analysis duties.” Unofficially, the only evidence of his time there is a trail of encrypted requisition forms and a few INTEL Agents who still insist he wasn’t supposed to have access to half the systems he touched.

Whatever he did, it was enough that the files remain locked, and the department still pretends he was never there.

Praetorian Squadron[edit]

Master also holds the distinction of being named an Honorary Member of Praetorian Squadron, an honour granted during his tenure as TAC by then‑CMDR Ric Taldrya.

Though he never served as an active Praetorian, the unit’s elite standing within the TIE Corps made the recognition significant, and he was awarded the Tributes Ring in acknowledgement of his support to their legacy.

Official records state that this honour did not entitle him to procure a TIE Praetor (T/Pr). However rumours abound about one such craft was misplaced at the time for “research purposes”.

GN Master has not offered clarification and the Praefectus Praetorio maintains that no craft are unaccounted for.
